Contract extension - MOD

Petards announces that the Ministry of Defence has extended the Group's existing enabling contract to supply the MoD with private mobile radio equipment, ancillaries and engineering services.
Annual revenues arising from the contract are anticipated to be in excess of £1m over the contract term which now runs until September 2014. As well as supplying commercially available equipment, the contract also utilises Petards design engineering skills to identify and supply solutions to complex military communications requirements.
Commenting on the award Petards Group Finance Director Andy Wonnacott said "We are very pleased that MoD has confirmed the extension of this contract which we believe demonstrates MoD's satisfaction with the high level of customer service and experience that Petards provides in supporting their requirements."
In addition the Company can confirm that the notice convening the Company's Annual General Meeting and the Company's Annual Report and Accounts for the period ended 31 December 2011 have been dispatched to shareholders.
