Contract win – Q-Box Merlin IP
19 February 2024
Petards, the AIM quoted developer of advanced security and surveillance systems, announces that its subsidiary, QRO Solutions (QRO), has been recently awarded an order worth around £0.35 million for one of the UK’s largest police forces, adding a new police force to QRO’s list of customers.
The order is for the supply of QRO’s Q-Box Merlin IP in-vehicle ANPR solution with High Definition (HD) DVRs, which the end customer is fitting to a number of vehicles in its fleet.
The Q-Box Merlin IP to be supplied has HD capability for two lanes of ANPR and manages wireless/4G/5G communications for onward transmission of data to the police force back office systems. The DVR option allows for the support of two HD cameras with audio recording and event triggered clips that allow for scenes of interest to be accurately recorded.
This order is expected to be fully delivered during 2024.
Raschid Abdullah, Chairman of Petards Group plc said:
“We are delighted to add this police force to the list of customers who have selected QRO’s ANPR solutions, further building upon QRO’s position in the UK as a leading supplier of ANPR technologies.”
“It is very pleasing to see QRO making such a strong start to 2024, with this order following so soon after the recently announced £0.4 million order for its new Harrier AI camera.”
