Petards Joyce-Loebl win RAF spares contract for Sentry-View 20 system

27 March 2009

Petards Joyce-Loebl win a contract to supply spares to help maintain the Royal Air Force's Sentry-View 20 display equipment.

The revolutionary Sentry-View 20 system was developed by Petards Joyce-Loebl as a high performance TFT-LCD display unit, specifically designed to interface with the E-3D (AWACS) Sentry radar console graphics system.

Replacing the originally-fitted displays, the Sentry-View 20 offers weight savings and significantly improved performance. It is also future proof through its additional ability to support modern high-resolution graphics sources.

David Jamieson, Head of Defence Sales at Petards Joyce-Loebl said; "We are delighted to be continuing our work with the Royal Air Force and the Sentry-View 20 system. One of our main objectives on the original project was to offer ongoing support for the systems and ensure they continue working at their best for many years. We are delighted to be supporting that commitment"

The latest contract, worth almost quarter of a million pounds will see Petards Joyce-Loebl continue to supply spare parts for the system for the next three years and follows a similar French Air Force Support contract for their Sentry-View 20 systems.
